Formation and governance

• Draft and file proper Articles of Incorporation for the New Mexico nonprofit corporation.
• Draft bylaws, organizational resolutions, conflict-of-interest provisions, initial board documents, and other applicable organizational agreements.
• Arrange lawful notarization of applicable documents when permitted and when the notary is not disqualified.
• Obtain or assist in obtaining available New Mexico formation records, certified copies, and a certificate of good standing or existence, as applicable.

Federal tax-exempt application and initial reporting

• Obtain the federal Employer Identification Number and complete appropriate nonprofit registration steps.
• Evaluate eligibility and prepare the appropriate Form 1023-series application for recognition under Section 501(c)(3), including routine supporting schedules and initial-review responses within the written scope.
• Prepare the first applicable IRS Form 990-series return or notice and the first applicable New Mexico annual, tax, or charitable report when legally due, based on complete and timely records and the scheduling terms in the written engagement.

Charitable, procurement, and administrative readiness

• Complete applicable charitable-organization registration with the New Mexico Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General.
• Identify appropriate vendor, grant-platform, supplier, contractor, or procurement opportunities and prepare the agreed applications or registrations that fit the nonprofit’s intended work.
• Organize governance, tax, banking, accounting, and standard contracting records so the nonprofit is prepared to pursue grants, sponsorships, procurement relationships, and operating contracts.
• Create a practical compliance calendar and train authorized officers on bookkeeping, renewals, annual reporting, and required government filings.
• Prepare additional initial legal, administrative, application, and registration forms reasonably necessary for the agreed nonprofit launch.

Banking, donations, phone setup, and accounting

• Assist authorized officers with opening a nonprofit bank account and donation-receiving accounts, including PayPal, merchant or credit-card processing, Google for Nonprofits, or a comparable service, subject to provider eligibility and approval.
• Set up basic accounting records through software or spreadsheets, including initial configuration, forms, and reasonable introductory training.
• Obtain or assist in obtaining a working forwarding telephone number for the nonprofit. Standard setup is included in the flat package price with no separate telephone setup charge.

Website and public presence

• Create one standard nonprofit landing-page website with an available domain name, public information, donor outreach content, and an agreed donation or payment link.
• Provide standard domain registration and hosting for three years, subject to domain availability, reasonable use, and the written engagement.

Sponsorship, grants, fundraising, and operating documents

• Draft sponsorship and donation-solicitation letters and reusable templates for corporate sponsors, financial partners, and prospective supporters.
• Prepare grant or sponsorship applications selected in writing during the engagement, based on complete information and supporting documents timely supplied by the client and subject to deadlines and reasonable package limits.
• Identify potential grants and funding sources, provide fundraising-event and outreach ideas, and make reasonable initial contacts when authorized and when any required professional-fundraiser registration or exemption has been addressed.
• Prepare an agreed initial set of standard documents for lawful dealings with donors, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, beneficiaries, customers, and the public.
